Mailbox Monday

I discovered Mail Box Monday's over at Blodeuedd's blog a few weeks ago and have been meaning to post my gatherings too.

Rules: What books arrived in your mailbox (home) this week? Visit Marcia at The Printed Page to leave a link to your post and see what other readers acquired!

This week I got a lot of great new books, both in my mailbox and at the bookstore!

At the bookstore I picked up -
Dragon Bound by Jade Lee
Dirty by Megan Hart
Double Enchantment by Kathryne Kennedy
Passion Unleashed by Larrisa Ione

At the E-Bookstores I downloaded -
Risky Business by Amanda McIntyre
Unfinished Dreams by Pamela Johnson
Booty Call by Fiona Jayde
Wolf Signs by Vivian Arend
Surrender Dorothy by RG Alexander

My mailbox
had some pretty good stuff too! I received a signed copy of Highlander in her Dreams by Sue-Ellen Welfonder. She offered me a hard cover copy because we were discussing that book one day about how her love of Scotland can be felt while reading that book. She is such a wonderfully nice lady. And I also won a copy of Tall, Dark and Kilted from her when she guestblogged at WendyK's blog a few weeks ago. They both came together.
Another book arrived in my mailbox on the same day. One I had no idea I had won, an ARC of Carolyn Jewel's next paranormal that comes out in June, My Forbidden Desire! And the last book that came in the mail was The Eye of Night, by Pauline J. Alama!

I'd say I had a pretty good week of books :).

Off topic of books, my child was in the school spelling bee again this year! Five kids are selected from each class to participate! Needless to say, Imma proud mamma :).

Happy Monday and Happy Reading!

Yes that is a very nice week for you :)
What a nice way to see you have won, suddenly just getting a book in the mail.

And fun that I got to introduce you to mailbox Mondays.

You already know about my week, and what a nice week it was ;)

Congratulations to Devin, Amy - that is awesome!!

Looks like you got some great books there. I've got "Wicked Hot", in my TBR.

Thanks for the pimpage, Blogger is pretty much beating me to a pulp. :(

Warm Regards

Cecile, he's actually my baby boy! I won't tell him you called him a girl :)! Ohh, Strranger by Megan Hart! I really hope you like it! Looks like you did pretty darn good this week with books too!! And Booty Call was really fun!

Wicked Hot...I might have to look into that one! I've heard the name Charlene Teglia :).

Lea, you're very welcome! I never thought to just add soemthing small right up there at the top of my blog before :). No post will cover it up!

Amy C said...

MsMoonlight, I hope your books come in the mail soon. Are they the ones you said weren't shipping until April??

Blodeuedd, I don't remember winning that ARC. Inside it says that it's the second half of my prize winnings. So the only thing I can think is when I won her fist book, My Wicked Enemy that the contest was also for an arc of the next book in the series. But I can't say I remember that. It was back in September maybe, or October.

Amy.. sorry about the mix up.. I took a shot int he dark with the gender! But all in all.. a proud Mamma is a proud Mamma!! Congrats on that! Even though mine is 15 ~ she is still my baby!!

I am hoping that Strangers comes in today *praying really hard*, because I am almost done with Wicked Hot. And I just started reading it Sunday! Yes, it is that good and hot!

I do have to admit though that I was a little aggravated at Border's because they did not have some of the books that I was looking for. Which I thought was strange... you would think that book store would have copies of everything! Oh well... I would hate to imagine my bill if I would have bought everything on my list!

First and foremost... Congrats to Devin on qualifying for the Spelling Bee again! That's awesome! ^_^

Secondly, love your book haul. I haven't been book shopping in a while. I need to remedy that! Oh wait. .. I went to Borders on Saturday with a 40% off coupon. I bought Envy by Anna Godbersen for my teen and me (it's YA) and two awesome cooking magazines for me. I'm getting prepared to have my kitchen back after five months.

Happy reading everyone! :)

I hate my mailbox *kicking rocks*

Congrats on the kid's spelling bee accomplishment--you have every reason to be proud!

(keeping your family in my thoughts and prayers)

Amy C said...

Thank you, azteclady. *whispers* Mayhap your mailbox will surprise you with something in it this week :).

Hi Wendi B.! Thank you for stopping by and leaving a link. I'll go check out your post :).

Oh yes, Christine! I used my 40% off coupon to buy Dirty! Those coupons never go to waste :).

Amy C said...

That's okay, Cecile! I didn't say and I suppose it's better than just calling him an it! Even though he acts a little strange sometimes and it could actually be quite warranted! He's such a goof!

And about the bookstore not having all the books you want, if they can't have copies of everything at least they should have copies of the books you want!!

Anna said...

This is a cool idea. My friend Brooke does something similar to this, except she calls it "In My Mailbox".

Ooh you had a very good mail week. ;)

I didn't buy any books this past week, shocking I know. But this week hopefully I find some good books.

Amy C said...

Hey Anna :), I hope you do this too. It was fun and opens up a door to share what books we bought or received during the week. Yes, hopefully something good will come this week :).

Cecile said...

Well... I thought that was what a damn bookstore was for *frowning*. But it will be okay! I was happy with my purchase! Then Wal-Mart was a bonus! Have to admit though... Strangers was not in mailbox this afternoon. Went home for lunch... no book!! But I get 2 more chapters of Wicked Hot in!!! I will have to tell Ms. Moon about this about this book. One woman and two men... brothers. Interesting!!! and HOT!!!!

Amy C said...

LMAO, Cecile!

Well, hopefully tomorrow Stranger will arrive! And, hmmm, Wicked Hot is menage? With demons and such? Sounds interesting, but I don't know :).

Blanche said...

Great mail week!!! I didn't get a lot this last week because we were on vacation but I did manage to get a few things.......LOL

Cypress Nights by Stella Cameron
Hounding the Pavement by Judi McCoy
All Of Me by Lori Wilde

Let Me In by Donna Kauffman
Hawk's Way Carter and Falcon by Joan Johnston

I also have 3 B& orders that should be here in the next few days!!:)

Cecile said...

Glad I could make you laugh!! Yes, hopefully Strangers will be there tomorrow. I really can't wait to start reading it.

Wicked Hot.. I really wasn't expecting it to go that way... but the two chapters I read for lunch - it went that way. The woman is succubus and the men are Nephillians(?). The one thing I am kinda sketchy on is the language when it comes to body parts; but other than that, it is a good book.

Amy C said...

Blanche, I'd say you did pretty darn good! And three B&N orders? You can do MailBox Monday and blog about those!

Cecile, I have two other Megan Hart books and I'm starting to feel the itch to read one of them. Probably Dirty first. You'll definitely have to let me know what you think of it!

Cecile said...

Oh Amy, I sure will. I have tried to get all the first novels of the series that I want to read. That way, if I like them, at least I have started them in order. I refuse to get "caught in the middle" again ~ HA~ of a series. I know some are stand alone books... but still, I like order! Yea, I OCD with things! Gets on the families nerves sometimes. But I do have Dirty and Broken on my list of TBB next!
So, I am praying to the mail faries that my book will arrive tomorrow!

Hi Amy!!

Thanks for stopping by and giving props today!

What a haul!! I love it when mailboxes are busting out with books! And I see you made out great at the bookstore and with ebooks too! My hubby was giving the evil eye for trying to sneak a few more books into the house this weekend. So we have to walk around a few piles of books--big deal--not! LOL

Happy Reading!!

Dottie :)

Hi Amy, looking forward to more of your thoughts on your mailbox contents! And congrats and have fun with your child and the spelling bee adventures :)

Amy C said...

Thanks, Allison :). Devin made it to round three and lost to schedule! He spelled it schedual...but in his defense, the principal did pronounce it that way! I'm so proud of him regardless though :). It was fun watching the young'uns spelling or trying to spell some of these words. Some of them would through me for a loop without writing it first!

Amy C said...

LOL, Dottie, at least there is space to walk around the piles and you don't have to go over them! I'd love to see you all do Mail box Monday's too!

Cecile, I'm with you about order :). And sending good vibes to the mailbox fairies!

Cecile said...

Okay... Still no Strangers left in mail box today *frowning*

**Starting to doubt my magical powers** I think I might have pissed off the fairies by eating their cookies last night! I will make sure to leave them some tonight!
Not done with Wicked Hot just yet... Should be done tonight though.

Amy C said...

Damn, Cecile! I tried sending good vibes your way. But you know, you can't eat their cookies!!!

Cecile said...

Yea, I figured out that eating their cookies was not good for my mailbox *frowning* But I will leave them some fresh hot baked chocolate chip cookies that I will bake myself, with a big glass of milk!!! I bake extra so I can have some myself!! *winking* I will also sprinkle my magic dust on the box tonight before I go to bed!!!

Amy C said...

Well, if that doesn't do the trick, then they are some greedy little bastards!

Cecile said...

I am crossing my fingers that it will work... Haven't been home for lunch yet... But I didn't even eat ANY cookies last night, just so they could have some!!!
If I don't get my book today... I will put laxative in the next batch!

Thanks for stopping by my place!! Thanks for the support and friendship!! Hope you like it!!

Welcome and thank you for stopping by the mailbox this week. Enjoy all those books!

BTW - what eBook sites do you haunt? I have a Kindle and I'm always looking for new places to shop/download books.
