Race to Witch Mountain!

Today me and Devin went to see Race to Witch Mountain. The paranormal, special powers aspect of the movie appealed and of course the wrestling fans that we are in my house, I couldn't pass up watching The Rock (Can you smell what the Rock is cookin? HAHA!) on the big screen! And in a few weeks I imagine we'll be heading back to the theater to see 12 Rounds...John Cena...sigh...I'd never consider the movie otherwise :).

It turned out to be pretty good. A lot of action and special effects. I like wacthing the previews. I didn't know, but Devin did (I'm so not hip on what's out and coming soon), there is a movie for Dragon Ball Z! I thought that was cool. Devin used to love to watch that cartoon when he was younger and had all the video games for PS2. We'll be going to see that one too, I'm sure.

What about you, did you all do anything fun this weekend?

Hey Amy!

Glad you and Devin enjoyed it. I'll have to let my son know about this movie. I'm sure he is aware and he is too old for it but I know he has seen every movie "The Rock", has ever acted in. lol

I know he plans to see the Cena movie too, wrestling addict that he is.

Me, I've been reading some good books actually. I've started Blue Diablo and hope to be finished by the middle of the week and get the review up.

Other than that nothing too exciting. The weather has been nice though which is always a good thing. :)

Hey Lea, no, I don't think your son is too old to see it! There were people there without kids :). It had some humor and alot of action! That's cool that he likes the wrestling. Devin would just be devastated if wrestling was no more! The world would end LOL.

I'm glad you've been reading some good books. One of the books that i had mentioned from a local's an unmentionable. What i read did blow me away, but not in a fantastic, amazing kinda way :(. I will not even pick it back up.

But I did start reading Night's Rose (the book I asked the author for ARC of) Me thinks my losing streak of not so great books has come to an end! I've started a few books and put them down, but this one, I think is going to be very good!

I'm glad you finally hit gold.

I hate it when every book you pick up seems to have no appeal. If I'm not drawn into the story by 4 or 5 chapters then it's pretty much a forgone conclusion that I won't be finishing the book. That hasn't happened to me in a while though, (knock on wood). lol

I remember watching the older Witch Mountain movies when I was a kid. Ugh this weekend I have picked up a lot of books just to put them down for something else. I have a shelf of books to pick from, but sometimes its hard to decide on one. But I finally settled on Colleen Gleason's As Shadows Fade.

I was never into Dragonball Z, but I do plan to watch the movie. LOL! Spike from Buffy (James Martsers) is gonna be it. So, I gotta at least check it out. :)

Hi Amy!!

We were up at 3:45am so we could call WDW to make our dinner reservations for our summer trip! You can call at 7am EST so that meant 4am our time and we didn't want to risk missing the restaurants we wanted so we were both up! It was a 90 minute wait on hold before we talked to someone though! Other than that I spent a little time this afternoon with my daughter shopping and now I'm checking in online and thinking about taking a nap!! :)

Amy C said...

Hey Blanche, is WDW, Walt Disney World? :) Sounds like you've been up long enough for a nap!

Anna, I don't watch Buffy so I don't know who Spike is but it sounds like a good enough reason to check out Dragonball :)! It looks like a good clean special effects action movie. I know Devin will like it.

Hopefully, Lea, you're good luck with books continues!

I feel so old! What I was a kid the orginal "Witch Mountain" came out and my parents took me to see it at the drive-in theater (I loved that)! Do they even have those anymore??
Glad you liked the movie. :o)

Well, lets see, I cooked a massive Boston Butt pork roast today. Also cleaned house with some new awesome cleaning products. I love them!

I would love to see Return to Witch Mountain. I have never seen any of them.

MsMoonlihgt, we have a drive in about half an hour south of us. (I live in Kentucky).

And, I finished Blue Diablo Saturday. Next is the review.

Thank you for asking!

Hi Amy!

My daughter and I are going to try and make this one. She loved The Game Plan (she's 16, loves Disney). Race to Witch Mountain looks really cool, we can hardly wait to see it. It's nice to know that it's good before we see it! I remember Escape to / Return From Witch Mountain, boy that seems like a long time ago!

Ms. Moonlight-- drive ins still exist, but they're not as much fun as when we were kids. I'd forgotten the mosquitoes.

Dottie :)

MsMoonlight, I don't remember the original movie, my husband does. We have a drive in just up the road maybe two miles. Devin and I went last sucked!! I couldn't wait to get home and Devin nearly fell asleep. I kept telling him he had to stay awake. No way was I sitting by myself in the dark! HA!

Oh, pork roast sounds yummy!

Dottie, The Game Plan was a cute movie. Devin liked it too. You'll have to let me know what you think if you see it.
