Must Have New Fantasy Trilogy by Morgan Howell!

Thanks to Kmont over at Lurve a la Mode for posting about this new trilogy! It sounds just wonderful!

The Shadowed Path Trilogy

Book One: A Woman Worth Ten Coppers
Morgan Howell

Seer, healer, goddess, slave–she is all these things and more.

Yim is a young woman suddenly cast into slavery, a gifted seer with a shocking secret–and a great destiny. Honus is a Sarf, a warrior dedicated to the service of the compassionate goddess Karm. A Sarf’s sole purpose is to serve a holy person called a Bearer. But Honus’s Bearer has been killed by the minions of an evil god known only as the Devourer. Masterless and needing someone to bear his pack, Honus purchases Yim for the price of ten coppers–and their fates are forever entwined.

Book Two: Candle in the Wind
(2009, October)

There is no information yet for this second book but the trilogy as described on Morgan Howell's website sounds like it's going to be a good one!
Check it out here.

Aren't those just Bee-utiful covers??
I must have them!

Hey Amy C...

great minds think alike - I found this author about a month ago, but with other reading obligation i literally just started "Queen of the Orcs Trilogy" - i am about 25pages in --

I want to read them all before Candle in The Storm is October

I can't make a judgement yet - but it's shaping up nicely... so far

I am so loving the covers...

Hey EH, I just requested the second book in the Queen of the Orcs trilogy this afternoon from Paperback Swap! It was the only one available. I'll probably have to buy the first one. I'm not sure though if I'll read the two trilogys in order. According to her website, there is many years between the two. And I learned from reading Elizabeth Vaughan's two sets of books that they in no way need to be read in order by series. They don't even feel like they are set in the same worlds. I'll see. But I'll likely start with this new series and go from there.

Are you going to review it? I would love to know what you thought!

I hope you had/are still having a great day!

These sound like beautiful stories Amy! And, wow the cover art rocks my socks!!

The first one reminds me of a scene from The Lord Of The Rings, "The Two Towers". Beautiful.

I will be interested to read your updates with respect to this one.

Thanks, Cecile. I did have ap nice day yesterday! I hope yours was a good one too :).

Hey Delitealex! Thanks for stopping by. The cover's what caught my eye first, and then the bit of romance that is in it according to the synopsis sounds perfect!

Amy C said...

Oh yes, Lea! Totally has that Lord of the Rings feel to it on the first one!! Good eye! I know the scene well :).

Absolutely, Renee! Love the fantasy romance combos!

Blodeuedd, I can't take the credit for finding this one :). It is nice to find others that read this kind of stuff too. Otherwise I would miss so much!

My mom and I are going to Syracuse in a few weeks to this mall. It has a two story Borders! I have this first book on my list to look for :).

Very beautiful indeed! Let me know what you think of this author... I have the Queen of Orcs trilogy at home, but I don't know... it doesn't sound that appealing ^_^;

Hi Amy!

Again, beautiful covers, I'm so into fantasy of all types right now, that when I received a book to review, I almost cringe if it isn't fantasy!! And lately all I've been getting are mysteries.

I did received The Highwayman by Michele Hauf, and it's great!
